Changing CTP insurer

You are able to choose the CTP insurer for your vehicle. Compare current premium prices by using the CTP Premium Calculator.

Motor vehicle owners may nominate to change CTP insurer at any time while the vehicle is currently registered, although the actual change of insurer will only come into effect from the commencement date of the next registration renewal.

Your current insurer is shown on your certificate of registration.

Please note: Once you have paid your registration renewal, the CTP insurer at the time of payment must remain your insurer until the end of the registration period covered by the renewal.

How to change CTP insurer - changing your CTP insurer is easy

Step 1:

Decide on your preferred insurer.

Step 2:

Determine the new fee due by using the CTP Premium Calculator or by contacting your preferred CTP Insurer.

Step 3:

Make your change.
